"We Keep enciant
structures surrounded by
endless love alive in
our hearts in Mardin for
you and for our future"
I AM STONE EMBROIDDERY
I am calloused hands of
a master who embroidered
stones skillfuly with
patience. I am always
obstinate against nature
and rocks. From the
heart of mountains, I
created masterpieces. I
am love of grapes, I am
love of leaves. I am
home of pigeons. I am
the soul of the stone
that shape ıt skillfully.
I am Mardin...
I am top of the column
where pigion patterns
fly. freely. I am the
last claim of the great
mitois.
Behind my tired works I
whitnessed the frankness
of the life of our
ancestors. I watched the
flower smell of our home
yards, full of cheerful
children.
I am the stone cut from
mountais and embroidered
in such a magnificient
palace that all the rest
become jealious of me.
All my house backed to
the castle watch the
Mesopotamian Sea. I am
Mardin.
I am the mysterious
water in the wells. I am
the coolness in the
parlours. I am the
oldest witness of
magnificient stone
embroidery. I wish I
could have remained only
stones...
Mardin is like a flower
garden dressed with
extraordinary stone
works.
